I don't know what I'd go for considering some of the nicer figures such as DK are characters I don't really get along with in Smash Bros, Fox would be my first choice in terms of Smash Bros ability and I'm really tempted by Villager.

That's the launch line-up at $12.99 each by my maths that would mean about £9.99 each here, what am I saying they'll be £12.99.

All 14 (including Pit and Zelda) are up for pre-order on Shop To. The price being mentioned is indeed £12.99 but you can pre-order for £12.85 (each).

Still not sure whether I'll pick these up. Maybe Samus.

I am really curious to see where Nintendo take these. Have they said if they are compatible with games besides Smash Bros or do they plan to make new Amiibos for each game?

There's also pictures of all 12 in there retail packing they look, so cool.

Some will work with lots of game's some form, some with just one game and each game i gather will have some sort of figures and maybe a app type thing which will have data off them.

I'll say the same thing here I just said to a colleague about the Ninja Turtles we got in at work; those prices are ridiculous and unreasonable and only an idiot would buy one. I'm gonna buy them all.

I pre-ordered Villager, and might look for a deal on another one. There's some in there that'll be for collectors only - the Wii Fit Trainer seems destined to sell as poorly as Wii Fit U did.

That wasn't the official line-up on shopto hence there being 14 not 12 and is a place holder price but seems it will be right..

IU'm still not sure expensive or not as everyone that's seen them reckon there of great quality compared to skylanders & infinity, so might warrent the extra price plus you don't need a portal of power unless on OLD 3DS and there not linked to one series/game. But still £12.99 that's £155.88 for all 12 day one, so might be odd one or two for me on launch.

I've pre-ordered Yoshi just in case they are more expensive elsewhere. I did suspect they would be around this price when Reggie said the price would be similar to Disney's. That gives me the money for 5. So christmas and birthday money can cover the rest for me.

As the release nears and the potential total price mounts up, I've become wary of committing to amiibo. Perhaps I'll ask for one or two as Christmas presents.

Jeez as $13 US is about $14 Aus but £11 is $19 Aus.  But would think you would convert from US $ which I used to come to my £9.99 guess. So looking at your tax rates I would guess $15.99 each for you Shanks and anyone else down under.

I'm going to 1Up myself thanks to Dusty and Zavvi where if you open a new account, so guessing different email & address then if use your new account promo code you can get them for £9.85 each.

Also Shanks just seen that $17.95 is the price for you down under as confirmed by the Kangaroos at Big N's down under branch.

So Nintendo store offering 15% of any preorders done at EGX, I don't know if amiibo is in that deal but seeing ASDA won't stock them this will be my best the place to get one.
