amiibo

I have a few but I haven't really been trying to collect them, it's too much of an ask on top of the Amiibo figures and when the games they're attached to aren't exactly all that it makes it so much more difficult to justify.

I've happened upon a spare Shovel Knight amiibo so I might look in to customising it somehow, watch this space.

I think calling it a "burst bubble" is unfair; Nintendo are a toy manufacturer first and foremost, so actually being able to get their toys in the hands of the kids who want them was probably the goal all along.

40+ Million amiibo sold says that the bubble clearly hasn't burst.

I don't think I've seen any kids with amiibo.

My Nephews have a tonne of them, I also don't think it's burst either it's just that the main game amiibo were supporting (smash bros) has come to an end with it's DLC so it's slowed down a tad.

It's BOGOF on most amiibo at Tesco Direct. A decent choice which includes Shovel Knight, Anniversary Mario and the three Splatoon characters.

That's a superb offer. When I was in Bath a game store was flogging Meta Knight alone for £15 or £16. Here I could get him for a tenner with a Little Mac dropped in for free!

Acht! I'd already went and bought six before I read Buska's last post. Still, £29 for Shovel Knight, King DeDeDe, Splatoon Girl, K.K. Slider, Mabel and Reese is decent going. I've always said to myself that I'd be all over the amiibo if they were about a fiver, and here we are. Was it even a year ago that people were paying over £40 for Meta Knight, Little Mac, and all that?

Yeah, Amiibo prices were ludicrous at times. I'm glad they've calmed down a bit.

The vast majority of those (the ones on the tesco link) are cheaper on Nintendo's amazon store. Most are about £10.50, all except Ike who is only £7.50.

Well no but you can buy a dedededede and an Ike for less than the price of one dededededededede at Tesco. SO it's basically the same thing.

Also King Dedede isn't BOGOF with Tesco, but it's the same as anything depends on who you and shopping around as Falco is £6.99 in Argos for instance.

That's all amiibo down from £7.99 to £4.99 in HMV. My local only had Wario, Luigi and Duck Hunt Duo in stock, but I was told by a sales assistant at the counter that it's a national promotion that started on Friday.

Superb deals there! My local HMV has moved literally two units down the shopping centre to a smaller place. Their gaming section has been reduced to one stand of MicroSony, labelled 'Gaming', and a smaller one of Nintendo, labelled 'Nintendo' (as if Nintendo isn't gaming). There are no amiibo.

I'm assuming HMV are doing away with Amiibo, if not Nintendo all together, they haven't really been the go to place for games ever since they almost went under.

In other news, an Isabellibo is part of the amiibo team at Zero Castle. Saw Ryu in the wild, too - very nice!

So Nintendo have announced an expansion to the Splatoon range of ammibi. I'm strangely likely to get a Marie amiibo but not sure about the alternate colour Inklings...

In addition to this, the Falco amiibo I bought ages ago unlocks Mach Rider on Touch & Play, the only game I'd not played on the service! It... wasn't worth it.

With the release of Mini Mario go buy Amiibo I'm thinking about doing just that and getting some of the Amiibo I don't have to unlock the levels. For example I'll need a DK, Peach, Rosalina, Bowser Jr

Having had a little bash on that earlier, it's rammed with content - if you've got the right amiibi. I'm missing the Bowsers and Didford Kong. No, seriously, what is 'Diddy' short for? Anyway, it's free for both consoles, so if you've got any amiibi, get on it.

Saw that it was a decent size for a free game. I may actually get a couple today if I end up out and about
