| It's almost time for Europe’s biggest gaming event which is slowly becoming the big one of the three, especially for attendees.  Gamsecom 2014 Aug 13th-17th Recap of 2013’sMicrosoft had a 30min conference which wasn’t live, they announced FIFA 14 would come with One’s in EU and legend players would be exclusive for Xbox platforms. Also the One’s launch line up and Mojang’s new game Cobalt. Sony had a live conference which they showed gameplay of killzone from the PS4 UI, PS3 & VITA talk lots of Indies and launch date for PS4 and launch line up.
What we know so far for 2014Nintendo will be showing stuff there, not sure if they will do a conference or a direct during it but they will have stuff there to play. | I'll probably be proved wrong on this but does anything big ever get revealed here? As I've never followed this event closely at all. - masofdas wrote:

I doubt there will be a direct, more likely just a place to show off the same games they did at E3. |

| You said that last year, and last like you see in the recap we found out both launch line ups and the launch date of the PS4. That's surely rather big along with some big indie reveals such as Rime, and you can see from the stuff we know off fro 2014 a new game from media molecule is fairly decent news.
And if you go by what Yoshida said after E3, stuff will be shown here from Sony's European teams and the same will apply to TGS but with there Japanese teams please be Last Guardian at TGS.
The biggest thing most likely will be guerrilla cambridge with there rpg hopefully. |

Owing to a mix of differences between the European and American markets as well as a great act of petty industry dummy-spitting, it's a more PC-driven event in comparison to E3- Valve, by example, actually go to Gamescom. So if there is something big, it'll be a different kind of big to E3 big. It's also worth noting that it's also a big consumer event as well as press, and it also features the finals of a major e-sports tournament. So it's perhaps physically bigger than its announcements, but I wouldn't hold that against it. |

Surely more big gaming events is a good thing especially one that's almost on are door-step, unlike E3 & TGS. |

| I don't mind there being another big gaming event at all, I just can't be as fussed about it as I am the likes of e3. |

| Double post,
I didn't see this happening till TGS but Bloodborne will be playable on the show floor of gamescom. Not sure if this sort of game shows well in that sort of environment but nice to see it's starting to be shown not just in private especially seeing it's coming early 2015. |

| Had more games then MS at E3 but everyone focuses on that one really bad bit, I guess bloodborne will be shown as it's playable on show floor. |

| Not in unsurprising news, seeing flow & flower are on PS4 but it's been leaked that the multiple game of the year award winner Journey will be playable at gamescom and likely to drop on PS4 right away like entwined did at E3.
Along with Until Dawn being there and The Unfinished Swan which was all posted on Sony's gamescom site, now down unless I can't find it a amy German isn't that good.
You might of got a email from Bioware today about there new IP which looks to be called Shadow Realms will be shown at gamescom.
Also 2K UK have been teasing Bioshock, I wouldn't be surprised to see it at gamescom now.
Uncharted 4 info.

| MS will be showing live this year on twitch etc, the 11th will have the COD:AW MP event & the 12th will be the conference with a big surprise at 1pm in the UK. There is a teaser trailer talking about what there showing & when, it seems MS are taking gamescom more serious this year and seeing Sony has a lot of the market in the EU. Makes sense of MS to try to tap into the market and have a good show.
So that just leaves Nintendo to confirm something. |

| Some more info, Sony released a 11sec trailer that shows some snow with blood which to me confirms Until Dawn even more. also the PSN store on PS4 at least has a gamescom section at the moment which just has preorder options for destiny etc but wouldn't be surprised to see journey, unfinished swan and even until dawn there next week.
Other's have started to detail what there showing be it at there conference or the show floor.
EA will have there conference at 9am on the 12th, confirmed to show FIFA 15, Battlefield Hardline, The Sims 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition and Dawngate long with Bioware's new IP.
Ubisoft have confirmed what's going to be on the show floor with likes of Unity but have said there will be new digital titles maybe something Ubiart related. But no word if there's a conference from them.
Sony have shown to more teaser trailer's for the event, Sony are taking this very serious but Europe might be there biggest market. So makes sense for them to show a lot here hopefully.
I've got more info on MGSV which will have a live stream and likely to get the launch date confirmed of march 2015 which is getting touted about, |

So tomorrow gamescom 2014 kinda starts with the COD: AW MP Xbox event on Monday then it kicks off proper on the Tuesday with conferences. Then show floor opens on Wednesday to the public.

| Day OneNew Dead Island 2 Trailer Sony teasing to how horror is going to be reinvented on PS4, So Until Dawn then Life Is Strange is a new episodic game from the guys that did remember me which will be on PS3/4, 360NE, PC as umm episode downloads .  First new PlayStation Vita title announced, Developed by small Newcastle outfit Nosebleed Interactive The Hungry Horde Hustle Kings will be getting a free to play PS4 version Housemarque have been teasing that they might show something new, I guessed they would Driveclub is getting a special edition which includes things like bumper stickers The COD MP Reveal from MS, it's over a hour long but at the end it's announced that there will be a day zero edition which will let you play 24hrs before hand and bonus XP but these editions will be very limited. EA's Access has gone live in BETA form which will likely be the big talking point in there conference including FIFA 15, Madden 15 demo's drooping exclusive for it. MKX Kano |

Starts with a AC:U trailer which is out Oct 28th
Some German dude welcomes Phill Spencer talks about 29 countries getting xbox one launching along with how xbox one best place to play
FIFA 15 having exclusive legend content, early demo on EA access also Xbox One FIFA 15 console bundles, out comes peter schmeichel to show of UT
Indie Sizzle real including Goat Simulator, when the guy came out to talk about some of these he says first on console meaning they might come to PS4/WiiU/PC etc at some point. Ends on Below
More COD:AW, add-on content will be first on xbox. COD: AW bundle coming Nov 3rd which is £430 but has 1TB HDD.
Evolve will have an open beta on xbox and few exclusive bits.
Phill Harrison out now with exclusives starting with Rise of Tomb Raider coming Holiday 2015, after the event was done in interviews with Spencer and being asked about it's exclusivity but then the guy on stage took to tumbler and has confirmed it's 100% xbox only, yes both 360 & ONE. It looks likely it will go head to head with Uncharted 4. He did go on saying we've not forgotten about Sony gamers as they have the spin-off & the hd port. I still wouldn't be surprised to see this coming to PS4 as GOTY edition or something to get around it as I remember this happening before with something. There is a petition all ready to get it to others but I doubt that will make square not take notice of MS's money.
Quantum Break now which is looking very good.
Fable Legends, new trailer also MP BETA in Oct.
A new IP which looks like an extreme coaster works called screamride.
New Forza 5 content out now for FREE, now on to Horizon 2 mainly talking about it being a social racer.
Ori and the Blind Forest, looks stunning.
More on Sunset Overdrive including the official announcement of the white console at £350 with game.
Bonnie (Swipe Right) with Halo: Master Chief Collection and going on about the TV series and a Halo: Channel which will work with twitch whilst playing Halo. Halo was said a lot along with the BETA which seems robust which is just after Christmas also some stuff will carry over to 5.
Finish with a reminder why the best place to play and predownloads announced.
Great showing from MS, Xbox One is now looking like a console worth getting in 2015 IMO with Halo 5, Rise of Tomb Raider etc.
Sony's seems to get going almost right away and is about 1hr 30mins long - But again if you don't want to watch this is what happened:
Trailers of The Order 1866, LittleBigPlanet 3 & then a Bloodborne trailer which is looking very impressive.
Then a wait for a sizzle real.
Some old guy comes out and said all three of those games that started the show will be out within the next 6 months, yep so bloodborne will be out that soon. Well I reckon March after The Order 1866, so that's 7 months.
PS4 has sold over 10 Million SKU's to customers (not shipped) within 9 months.
A dude from the team that brought us all the pixel something titles on PS3, showing some weird game that's in 3D called The Tomorrow Children.
Another tilted shown called The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, wonder if it's ECIII
The dev that did Thomas Was Alone now on stage, showing Volume first on PS4 & VITA
Even more now with Hollowpoint, Runemaster all from paradox but not much is shown
Dayz is coming to PS4 which is not a port but a updated version which also benfits PC gamers.
A new game from Ninja Theory called Hellblade, said this would be coming a while. Looks good if in game and guess what female lead it seems, so why didn't they just make a sequel to Heavenly Sword.
More on Rime which is looking like Sony's answer to wind waker but a bit indie.
Now a indie sizzle real which includes likes of dreamfall which at one point was only confirmed for Wii U now coming first on PS4.
Some of those are exclusives, some are timed. Also I think all are downloads starting with The Tomorrow Children all the way to Dreamfall there. So looking good for indies & downloads.
Destiny time now, which is the most preorder new IP history according to gamestop. MP trailer showing what will available day one, talks about the timed exclusive content and seems like the first expansion pack will be coming first on playstation, So the same deal as COD then.
Far Cry 4, does look decent but never been a huge fan. Talking about the share feature allowing you invite players in that don't own the game to your game. You only get 10 key's though and each player can only play for 2hrs but still could be useful for likes of me that isn't sure about it.
New Shadow of Mordor trailer, there will be exclusive content.
KOJIMA with MGSV:Phantom Pain showing the cardboard box which is hilarious, a teaser of something called P.T which is now on PSN but what it really is that's Silent Hills (yes Hills) where you'll play as Norman Reedus as the main character also Guillermo del Toro is director.
2.0 update coming, friend finder, share to youtube, share play coming which includes controller passing so as I'm stuck on guacamelee. I could pass the controller virtually to Andy to do the bit I'm stuck on for me. Play together coming which would allow me to invite Jas to play co-op with me on destiny for example but he wouldn't need to own the game to play with me.
Stream went funny during them talking about Morpheus, and Now which is coming 2015 for EU with UK having the first BETA in EU, Playstation TV talk coming Nov 14 across all PAL territory's.
Now back to games starting with Until Dawn which has been rebuilt for PS4.
Driveclub now, whom are also talking about social racing but this racer has weather.
Media Molecule now whom teased straight porting tearaway to PS4 but nope there rebuilding it for PS4 due to the dual shock 4 & it's unique features. It also will have bigger levels, paper planes. So it's the same game but as it's a console it's now bigger if that makes sense. Not sure how I feel about yet another port but seems a lot of effort has gone into it and a lot would of missed it due to it being on VITA and it is a good game. It & Until Dawn will becoming in 2015.
Housemarque now with a new IP, which looks like a sci fi dead nation.
Michel Ancel yes the Rayman guy, showing his new game called Wild.
That's that, also a good showing more on the indie / download side but when you show MGS:V, annouce when Bloodborne is kinda coming, a new title from Ancel then you can't moan.
So EA's confernce was early then I thought but it's here for you just under 1hour - But if you don't want to watch:

Peter Moore with very good German, he's showing The Sims 4 please no not twerking. Demo out now.
On about FIFAWorld & FIFA15 which brings back the Turkish league, Premier League will have all 20 stadiums & new broadcasting but the big thing is reworked goalies.

Bioware's new IP Shadow Realms it's a online story rpg based around d&d concept it will becoming as episode for PC next year but a ALPHA will be launching next month. Bit disappointed about it being PC only at the moment.
Hardline now which is getting another BETA before it launches, SP trailer for the game which looks kinda decent. Now on to MP modes.
That's it, there was a Dragon Age Inquisition missing but just watched and it's still looking good.
Other news not in conferences but from gamescom
Infamous: First Light will be about 4hrs long and will include Arena mode which if you own second son you you can use your delsin instead to beat highscores etc but fetch's power is more powerful, so do you go for different powers or one really good one. I've got this predownloaded myself all ready. Journey has been confirmed and will becoming sometime this year in 1080p and will be cross-buy, so I can download for free. Same deal with Unfinished Swan. The Crew will becoming to last gen as well but just 360 it seems and will handles by a different dev's. The Golf Club will launching next week on ONE. Sierra is back as Activision's new indie label, how can it be indie also Hellblade is being called the first AAA indie. They announced two games Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions & King's Quest. Mortal Kombat X's story will be set over 25 years. So more news is still coming from the Rise of Tomb Raider exclusive deal, and now it's been confirmed by Phill Spencer that he doesn't own the IP and the deal is for a duration but he can't confirm fro how long.
