I’d recommend: Burly Men at Sea - fun point and clickish branching story. Banger Subsurface Circular - cool text based game about a robot on the robot tube Iconoclasts - retro style platformey shooter, I normally hate this sort of thing but this one was a banger Wandersong - Bard goes round solving all the world problems by singing at them - Banger Owlboy - be an owl boy, hang with friends to shoot bad guys and solve problems - Banger Valkyrie Chronicles - probs too anime for some forumites but a cool strategy game set in a fake WW2 - Banger

Oninaki has a demo up on eShop, PSN and STEAM which does the same as Octopath Traveller, where you can play for a few hours then continue on with the main game.
I'm tempted to give the game ago but it seems to be digital only (part from in Japan), which is fine but it's listed as $50, which does put me off especially with also coming late August where Switch will have Astral Chain.
I forgot Okinaki was a thing! Might give that demo. a go then.
Oh who am I kidding I'm not playing anything at the moment.

I'd agree with this in the early parts of the game, but once you got a hang of how to battle it really felt satisfying to make mincemeat out of a boss. There was one of them - you fought him on a bridge, I think - where I took him down in under five minutes through some smooth parrying. It was dead fun learning that game's combat.
The moral of this story is to not trust Andy's opinion on any game with a parry mechanic - his slanderous Sekiro opinions add fuel to that fire.

I tweeted about this late last night but this looks like a fun alternative to FE:TH & it's out today.
@Jay I do have it but a port like VII, IX etc would be welcome

Just seen Grandia HD Collection is coming soon to Switch, I'm tempted if priced right as they've got a very similar battle system to Child of Light.

Does it have the whimsy and the beauty though?
I realise that I could find this out for myself. In fact I might even go and do that! That'll show you all.
EDIT: The screenshots are doing nothing for me. Another HD-ified PS1 game, is it?

The first game is a Saturn game and the second a Dreamcast game (why I think it was brought up in the discord) but yes those are being HD'd.
Just for the Switch (PC as well) it seems, as the team behind have said the Switch is the best console for retro gaming on a modern system or along those lines.

Double Post
I was on the eShop downloading Mario Tennis. As I was on it, I looked at the coming soon section, mainly to see if Decay of Logos was up to see how much it will be.
Anyway I spotted AER is coming to Switch, which is fine but not worth £18 maybe £8 at a push.
Then you've got FAR Lone Sails also coming soon which at the moment if we were doing the forum vote of overall Top 5 it would be in that 5, alongside Fire Emblem Three Houses, Sea of Solitude, Apex Legends and Plague Tale.

I've had FAR: Lone Sails in my PS Store basket for a while now but if it's coming to Switch I might have to reconsider.

Oh my goodness! Definitely not. A fiver maybe. It's £4.45 on Steam right now. I find that I'm hating myself for saying this, as I'd be annoyed if I'd read some ruffian spouting this, but it can only be £18 if they put more game in.

It's not got a platinum or anything, so unless it's cheaper on PS4 then Switch might be the best place as could look great on the go.
@Jimbob yep I paid £6 for on Xbox One where it's normally £12

The American store has some good deals and for $10 (£9.46 for a voucher on PlayAsia) you can get
Bastion Transistor, banger Superbeat
For $7.87 total, with $2.13 + any gold coins leftover. With games as little as 19c in the sale, could be worth a look.

Not on offer in the UK but deals like this along with the trial of Cap Toad shows why multiple accounts are useful.

I think I have an account in every region, thanks to a combination of buying MHXXfor the west and downloading some American and Australian stuff when I was writing for Ginners on the reg. It does come in handy - I use the Japanese one for little eShop games because I can buy a card from the Konbini and they tend to have all the lamguages, and I can use Shen's card to buy American games when they have good sales - see Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.thanks
