I've got a fair few nights out on the agenda over the next fortnight, and kicked it off in style on Friday. Stared drinking at 1240pm, finished drinking at 225am.   

We went out in Glasgow during the day, where I had a pint of Hefeweizen, a pint of mulled cider, a glass of mulled wine, three pints of Tennents and a Dalmore. Went to see Anchorman 2, and continued the session in Glasgow for a bit (four pints of Tennents, two Red Stag and cola and a Bubblegum Daquari) before hopping on a train (two cans of Tennents) and going out in my hometown (five pints of Tennents, one Bowmore, one Glenfiddich, a Morgan's and Irn Bru and a pint of WEST Brewery's Christmas beer). I probably had more. I was gubbed.

It was a fella from work's birthday, and there weren't many girls. But it would be an ideal game to whip out on the future. It's a better multiplayer wario ware than made in wario. Yeah, the eshop game. Bloody brilliant it is.

A pint of Postlethwaites (may be Postlethwaite's, didn't look at the pump for too long). During the usual Thursday pub meal I've been having a few real ales. They mostly taste great until about a third is left, at which point they start to ming fiercely. This one did not! And it had a picture of the man himself on the pump, may he rest in peace.

Incidentally, if you're still looking for Brothers, I saw them unloading a box of it into a Wetherspoon's yesterday, so you may be able to get a bottle there.

A bottle of non-alcoholic sparkling wine. Quite nice!

I've been out six nights in the last eight (in between semesters at Uni, natch). There's no way I could list everything I've had in that time, but I think last night was made up of two Old Pultneys, two Morgans (and Irn Bru), two bottles of Corona and six pints of Tennents. Not too bad, by standards.

A LOT of Jack Daniels. I then went to the pub and ordered a miscellaneous whiskey on the rocks. That was a mistake.

A decent few glasses of decent Italian red, followed by tea. All paid for by the company, natch. Hooray for my office job!

So there's this thing on the boof of faces wherein one films a video of themselves drinking a pint of alcoholic beverages, then nominates three people who must do the same and pass it on to three more people.

It was fun and has set me up for an epic Saturday. Thusly, I think we should do the same here. I nominate masofdas, the_Jaster and beemoh

Ahhh, I've seen this on my book of faces. I've only seen it done with a pint of beer though - your video was definitely to the next level.

There have been a couple who did it Buska-style. The guy who monster me just had cider and black, though.
Saying that, that one drink has left me feeling pretty jolly and it's been a while since I was this tipsy from one pint...

A tiny bit of champagne, one cider, one Guinness, Long Island Ice Tea, something raspberry-flavoured, and possibly one other cocktail.

The upshot of which is that I've felt like retching since I entered the office this morning. Cretin. Belated New Year's Resolution - to drink a glass of water between every two cocktails.

The strangest "neck nomination" I've seen so far on my faeces book contained milk, brandy, coconut rum, shloer, sweet chilli sauce, branston pickle, out of date mustard (by almost a year), curry powder, Worcester sauce and a raw egg.
Needless to say the guy was brutally sick afterwards.
I drank some tea and water yesterday. My almost-fizzy-or-otherwise-processed-drink-free-year is going quite well.

The trend does seem to be to step it up a level from changing the drink to also doing it in silly costumes and places. I've not done a neck nomination myself but I've drank similar concoctions before which are fairly misguided and disgusting so I'm not too worried if I get one.

I've been a bit tempted to actively miss the point and make a pint of tea.

I lost a game of Ring of Fire once.  Thankfully the concoction wasn't too ridiculous (played with one pack of cards instead of two), but it was unpleasant enough.  Excuse me if I skip this fad, therefore.

My girlfriend was telling me that

a) someone died after drinking their neck nomination and

b) someone filmed their neck nomination, in which they gave a meal to a homeless person and dared their neck nominations to do the same.
