| Here's a stoater of a promo at Argos - if you buy a pair of Joy-Cons for £59.99, you can claim either Bayonetta 3, Metroid Dread or Everybody 1-2 Switch for free.

Offer ends tomorrow, 26th January!

| I know I shouldn't just write things because I had to tell everyone my negative opinion - damn it the internet's full of that - but I never want to buy Joy-Cons again. I love the Switch, but I've got 2 pairs with sticks that just do whatever the fuck they feel like, and a 3rd pair which I don't touch in case they start doing whatever they feel like. Handheld mode is now only for retro d-pad time. |

| I think that's valid. Every pair of Joy-Cons I've owned, one of them has had to be sent in to Nintendo eventually for repairs. I like them well enough otherwise, and I'm still mainly a handheld fellow, but the build quality is genuinely gutting. Doesn't help that this generation is the longest one since I started following Nintendo, but I haven't used any given pair for that full lifecycle. |

| I've personally been lucky with Joys-Con, but the situation is wild. As I understand, build quality on Sony and MS sticks has worsened in a similar time, but perhaps the small size and intricate build of Nintendo's mini controllers made them more succeptible to this damage? It's one thing I hope is seriously adressed with 2witch. |

| Bomb Rush Cyberfunk and Neon White are down to £19.99 apiece on Amazon (on Switch, XBox, PlayStation, the lot):

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Skybound-Games-Neon-White-Switch/dp/B0C9F48FX8
I was very impressed with Bomb Rush Cyberfunk when I played it earlier this year, I was happy to have paid £33 for it. I remember Balladeer being very complimentary about Neon White too. |

| Aye both of those are quality games, just be sure to skip all the cut scene pish in Neon White though. |

| Yeah, Neon White's dialogue scenes go on FOREVER but the gameplay in between is good arcadey fun. |

| +1 to the above. Good game, lousy dialogue and characters. |

| I truly don't understand how Two Point Campus can be so underpriced £6.95 delivered, it's utterly excellent: https://www.thegamecollection.net/two-point-campus-enrolment-edition-switch?sqr=two%20point Get on it |

| Disney Illusion Island has dropped to £19.99 at Smyths Toys, Argos and Amazon:
https://www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/gaming-and-tech/nintendo-gaming/nintendo-switch/nintendo-switch-games/disney-illusion-island-nintendo-switch/p/222141
That’s a very suitable price for an endearing albeit simplistic Metroidvania that I’m confident everybody would enjoy.

Something you don’t see often is a physical Switch game for under a fiver delivered, and here’s one in Very Very Valet:
https://www.thegamecollection.net/very-very-valet-switch?
A 75% rating on Metacritic has convinced me to buy that for myself. |

| WarioWare: Move It! Is down to £19.99 at Argos, Currys and Amazon:
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/5440005?clickSR=slp:term:warioware:1:1:1
On another note, The Game Collection are offering a 10% off discount code if you register for their email newsletters. The code doesn’t seem restricted to software, so if you’re planning on getting anything big (like a new console, or a castle, or a dinosaur) then that could be decent money off. |

That same GAMING25 code reduces Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope to £12.74 as well. |

https://www.argos.co.uk/product/5440005 This game is a delight, by the way. Game Game Show's #3 of the year 2023. I'll bring it to Edinburgh. |

| I'd love to play some more of that with some like-minded folks, just running through the co-op campaign didn't feel enough really. I did enjoy it but my main concern was quantity-for-price - so this is grand! |
