| Yes, and it was cool that Rowan Atkinson did motion capture for the unique and patented "sometimes the characters just fuck it up" battle system but that doesn't excuse the four hour cutscene about remembering when he spilled a drink at prom, nor the 30 hours required to grind up to beat the "catch the keys when someone tosses them to you" boss. |

I get it because the spin offs etc but they honestly could've still had a messy ending where everyone (set up for said spin offs) is displaced and on the road again rather than what they went with.
I think the ending they went for works if they hadn't deviated so much from the comics with Rick and Carl - the ending has so much more gravitas if both those characters were still involved with the main show. As it was, it felt a bit too low stakes, right? |
