| Well I started posting this before you sent that post Balla and do like doing these anyway as not all can see all live and like you could now go look up SoS which seems like you've done anyway.
Mainly for Balla but this is the EA Play Recap: Battlefield V. was the first game shown and it was announced gameplay will be at the Xbox Conference and the game will have a Battle Royale mode. I'm game sharing with a mate at work and he was talking about getting either BFV or Call of Duty Black Ops IIII, I'm not that bothered about either but both have 3 modes now and BFV has a single player which Black Ops IIII doesn't that I'm tempted to go halves with him on BFV. FIFA 19 and FIFA 18, The big deal for FIFA 19 was the Champions League license hence the trophy and music also this was the only game announced for Switch which will have online multiplayer this year with friends, the FIFA 18 news is a free trial is out now, I don't know how long it is but sounded long enough to play the world cup mode at least. Star Wars Battlefront II Update, New Heroes and Villains from the Clone Wars and mode are coming. Unravel Two, the most Switch like game shown and it's not on Switch this time the game has local coop as well being out now, all I can think is EA brings both games to Switch in the future. Sea of Solitude, this is this year's new game part of EA's indie label and it does look good, no system were announced for the 2019 release but I'm hoping for Switch seeing Fe did come to it but that might have been Zoinks choice though. Sports, Madden NFL 19 and NBA 19 (why NBA, not NHL when one is dire and the other is one of the best sports games around) with a player of the Pittsburgh Steelers interviewing the winner of the 2018 Madden Championship. Command and Conquer: Rivals, New 1 on 1 Moblie C&C game ANTHEM, it looks good but it does seem to be just Bioware Destiny and the only real new was it's coming Feb 22nd and no loot boxes just cosmetic items. Other, We got the name for Respawns Star Wars game Jedi Fallen Order and that was it nothing else, not even a screenshot and the other bit of other news is EA is looking at streaming services and subs for all devices and showed FIFA 18 being streamed to mobile and seems like EA Access is coming to PC via Origins Premium. I said it about RE7 if the Switch can't run Battlefield V can EA bring it to Switch via streaming instead also this ties into what Yves Guillemot (Ubisoft head-honcho)has said about PS5 etc being the last console gen before streaming is the norm. On paper that isn't that bad of a showing from EA and I'm interested in 3 games BFV, SoS and ANTHEM but could be tempted by Unravel Two after I've played the first and I reckon my game sharing mate will buy FIFA 19 that I'll likely end up playing it, just that the whole presentation was awful that to me you either do it like Sony and just show trailer after trailer with a tad of chat or you do a Nintendo direct style thing, not this.
Other news that hit this morning the 2018 schedule Kingdom Hearts III has been dated for Jan 29th, 2019 (My Birthday), I've seen people get mad about this already the thing is from what I have seen people say about KHIII most thought it was coming December 2018 that it's a month delay from what people were thinking but from the reactions you'd it was coming December 31st, 2019. Does make Q1 2019 look rather decent at the moment with Anthem, Crackdown 3, Days Gone and now Kingdom Hearts III.

| I do think it is now The Last Guardian of Xbox as Crackdown 3 was meant to be out for the launch window which is like a 6-month period that it's going be almost 5 years after that if it makes Feb 2019.
As you know I've been playing a lot of Xbox at the moment and watching IGN's Unlocked the Xbox Podcast which is likely the best cast they do but they've brought up recently with E3 chat that MS should just do a Sony and show stuff to get people excited even though might not be out for years.
I get it's a criticism at Sony especially the best E3 ever which looks worse every year Final Fantasy VII Remake and Shenmue III don't come out but the Xbox IGN guys seem to forget that Crackdown 3 will have taken 5 years if not delayed again, Fable Legends was Cancelled, Phantom Dust was Cancelled, Scalebound was Cancelled, Cuphead took 7 years to come out and Below if it comes out this year was first shown 5 years ago, might be more as well I'm missing.
That MS do it as well and cancel games shown, and I don't know about you guys but if those games I mention had come out / came out sooner Xbox might be in a better state.

| You know EA's show was pretty boring when you have more fun on twitter than you do watching, most of the stuff didn't look bad but nothing wowed me either & I'll very likely not be buying any of it. All I wanted was Skate 4. Only shows I'll be watching next are Devolver digital, Ubisoft, Nintendo & Sony. |

| Nier: Automata is pretty high up my list if I ever do get a PS4.
I'm gonna stick the E3 Twitch channels on and probably keep watching right through til I go back to work now, but Nintendo and possibly Devolver are the only ones I can honestly say I'm interested in.
Oh yeah, I said this on skype but I'll repeat it here: I predict that Fortnite will be Nintendo's "and it's available after this show!" game and I reckon we'll get a Pikmin HD collection with a tease for Pikmin 4. |

| Missing Bethesda, Jas and watching PlayStation colour me surprised didn't think the Big 4 would be much of your cup of tea (well maybe Spider-Man), you just hoping to see what Shadows Die Twice is and hope its Bloodborne II?

I've never been a fan of most Bethesda stuff really & I own a ps4 so it's good to keep up with everything on there. (Pretty much sold on Spider-Man) Obviously I want to see more of Shadows Die Twice but I hope it isn't Bloodborne II since the first works so so well as a stand alone game, always liked Ubi & Devolver publish the absolute best indie games. |

| Can't think of single game from Devolver, I've played but will watch the conference as last years was funny. Same really with Ubisoft, I don't care much for there games as most are service based and broken but I'm hoping for Splinter Cell.
I'm not overly keen on Bethesda either but they do publish some good games like Dishonoured, DOOM, Prey etc |

And that right there is a perfect example of why I utterly loath Microsoft as a company and would actively celebrate their demise in the gaming landscape. I don't normally get involved in the console wars rhetoric, but I genuinely cannot stand Microsoft. I can't even think of a single positive thing they've done for the industry, but I can think of several damaging trends they helped to start. On the bright side it means we'll never see Platinum get involved with them again and thus none of their games shall be locked behind M$ exclusivity. |

| Well with that said Nier Automata in a sort of GOTY edition is coming to Xbox One this June, which has been announced by Square Enix who is the publisher and owner of the IP that Platinum might not be involved, as you just have read the link I put early of the thoughts on MS.
I gather this was meant for the press conference and not just Square Enix announcing it out of nowhere and part of Spencer getting Japanese games on Xbox. |

It doesn't seem as though I missed any big surprises, but I've put all the trailers I care about in a big playlist so I'm gonna catch up now. |

| - Drunka's E3 So Far:
Halo Infinite Didn't really show anything. I kind of got the impression it was going back to the story of the first game which would kind of suck considering what an insane cliffhanger Halo 5 ended on. I'm sure I'll end up playing co-op on a PC with my brother or something.
Anthem Still looks pretty fun. I really hope there are decent story and singleplayer elements as well as the Destiny type deal. I'm into it either way.
Fallout 76 Looks like more Fallout. Maybe one day I'll give one of these games another go.
UNRAVEL two Looks like more of the same cute, beautiful platforming. Seemed slightly faster paced than the first game, which combined with the co-op should make it a much better proposition. Really hope it heads to Switch.
Sea of Solitude Beautiful emotional indie game. See above.
Cyberpunk 2077 Now this I'm into! Sci-fi from the Witcher folks with lots of colour and character and energy, really leaning into the "punk" side of Cyberpunk.
Captain Spirit Cute little Life is Strange spin-off thing. Free? Interesting.
Jump Force Looks cool. Mostly just reminded me how many mangas I haven't read.
Battletoads lol okay
Gears 5 I don't know if and when I'll own an Xbox or gaming PC again, but I'm very glad to know there will be chunky GOW violence waiting for me when I do. Also, this looked like it has a much richer colour palette, which I'm very much into.
Devil May Cry 5 I prefer Bayonetta, but I could enjoy a little more DMC (not to be confused with DMC) action.
Skyrim: Very Special Edition Okay, this was actually very funny.
DOOM Eternal Inevitable but still sick. I'm well up for more DOOM. Now that I have a TV (and they've patched in motion controls) I should get back to DOOM on the Switch. Also, between this and Halo Infinite that is a weird and lame naming convention.
QUAKE Champions Looks fun but probably not for me.
Wolfenstein NewBlood Nazi-killing sisters in the 80s? Fuck yes!
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice FROM do samurai! Hells to the yeah baby!

Soooooooo I'm guessing that the news they bought Playground Games, Ninja Theory, Undead Labs, and Compulsion Games doesn't fill you with glee then? I'm glad I didn't watch the MS conference: even if I had an XB1, there were too many games in there I give not a fig about. Still, I appreciate them stuffing it full of games. Samurai Souls looks good (because of the samurai bit, natch, the Souls bit is incidental), and Ori 2 looks like an absolute belter. That's the one that makes me feel jealous. Also Sherlock season 4 was bobbins. ' My evil sister is somehow a magician!' |

| I also watched Devolver's "Press Conference". It was similar to last year's, and still kinda funny. The announcement that they're bringing Metal Wolf Chaos to the west is batshit and brilliant though. And Mech America Great Again is gold. - Athrun888 wrote:

With Halo they pretty much created modern console shooting controls, and XBOX Live set the standard for online play which is pretty much still in use. I don't love them as a company, but they've had some good games. - Balladeer wrote:

| Agree with Drunka, MS have done some good things for gaming but it was more so on the OG Xbox with the first Halo and Xbox Live then what has followed.
I'm yet to watch Bethesda, Devolver but have watched MS, this is the Xbox recap:
I think this was there best show maybe ever, the thing is most of the exclusives are 2019 and the announcement of buying Playground Games (were a 2nd party), Ninja Theory, Undead Labs (were a 2nd party), Compulsion Games and the forming of Initiative in Santa Monica along with hint of Xbox Two sets them up better for the future more than anything from this E3.
A few other things before I talk the 52 games (20 odd were in an indie sizzle real, which I'm not going to go through), it had a dip when talking about Game Pass but that still good as Fallout 4, The Division and The Elder Scrolls Online are all out now on the service and MS also like EA talked streaming to mobile and other devices.
Battlefield V, what I said yesterday. Battletoads, Xbox Exclusive, Nothing more than a logo. Black Desert, first on Xbox, A fairly popular Korean MMO comes to consoles. Crackdown 3, Xbox Exclusive, Looked good. Cyberpunk 2077, at the moment maybe the trailer of the show Devil May Cry 5, Excited about this but not sure about the shade at DmC. Dying Light 2, Not played the first but I know it was super popular. Fallout 76, Only learned about this being the biggest Fallout and earliest in the series here. Forza Horizon 4, Xbox Exclusive, Set in the UK, which I first I was like boring but it's the whole country and a shared universe that it did look sort of nuts but then it has things like you need a job, need house to store your cars and it has seasons that seem to make a difference. Gears 5, Xbox Exclusive, They've dropped of War that when I see GOW now I'm only thinking God of War. On the actual game, it looked better than 4 already. Gears POP! Mobile Exclusive, Yeah not for me. Gears Tactics, PC Exclusive, This a Gears game in the style of XCOM and I want to play it but it's a PC only title, now it didn't look super great in terms of graphics that my now 3-year-old laptop might run it but does bug me all Xbox games are on PC but not all PC games from MS are on Xbox. Halo Infinite, Xbox Exclusive, Halo 6 in everything but name and it's focusing back on Master Chief and not Locke. Jump Force , Jump Magazine the game with likes of Goku fighting Naruto in the real world, this one has been confirmed not coming to Switch due to technical limitations. Just Cause 4, Not bothered. Kingdom Hearts III, We saw a Frozen world and it looks so good. Metro Exodus, Also out Feb 22nd, surely MS would have known this that I don't get why Crackdown 3 the same day and if everything makes it then Feb 22ns looks like November. Nier: Automata Become As Gods Edition, Square is bringing this Xbox One and it seems it might be digital only which sort of makes sense as this was a niche game to start with, now on a console were Japanese games don't do well that keeping down costs, makes a lot of sense. Ori and The Will Of The Wisps, Xbox Exclusive, Looked great and I really need to go back and play the first. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, will be directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki that I can hear the From fans already with excitement. Session, First on Xbox, Looked like Skate 4 and closet it seems we're getting to that. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Really excited about this. Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, The Best Tales game now leaves the 360 (& PS3 in Japan) and comes to One, PS4 and Switch. The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, Set in the Life is Strange universe around the time of LiS2 and Dontnod have said we will see that soon, also TAAoCS is FREE. Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, Not played the first and never cared about it but this looked good and I can now play the first via Game Pass that I'll give it ago. Tunic, First on Xbox, 2D Zelda in a 3D Style (think ALBW) with a cute little fox. We Happy Few, MS now own Compulsion but this still being published by Gearbox and still coming to PS4 this August.
That was it apart from DLC for Cuphead and new content drops for PUBG and Sea of Thieves.
When you read it back like that MS only shown 6 exclusives are they all high calibre No but it was a lot of games and I said it on twitter if you're a PS4/PC gamer and maybe Switch as ToV is coming to it and you'd hope likes of Tunic & other indies will come to it then there was a lot to like from this conference.
For me owning a One X, I will play all my 3rd party on that well apart from maybe KHIII as I own 1.5, 2.5 & 2.8 on PS4 that be nicer to have all on the one format and The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is the other as I've played the previous two Life is Strange games on PS4 that saves etc may carry over in some way (same for Telltale games).
I don't think the conference would have shifted many Xbox Ones but the future is brighter for Xbox now then it was. |

Am I the only one that thinks Sekiro: SDT looked quite different to Dark Souls/BB then? I get it that there was swords & massive boss like enemies/monsters but there seemed to be a stealth mechanic for one as well as a way to traverse the world freely with that grappling hook. Then there's the fact you play as a set character so it might have a more linear story? For me it was more Tenchu meets Nioh just directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. |

| As my stream stopped and came back, I thought it was Onimusha from what I saw, it was only when I saw the From Software logo I even thought that it might play a bit like Souls.
Just watched Bethesda:
Rage 2, I like the look of this a lot and hope the whole shared world stuff is decent. The Elder Scrolls Legends, is getting a visual update and it's coming to PS4, ONE and Switch plus if you play on mobile at moment you can transfer save over to console. I've wanted a card game on Switch for ages, that I'm excited about this. Doom Eternal, DOOM II basically. Wolfenstein 2: Youngblood, CO-OP game set in 80's. Fallout Shelter, Out now for PS4 and Switch Fallout 76, Out this November, now I'm not one for Fallout but the whole going around with mates blowing people up did look fun. The Elder Scrolls Blades, Coming to mobile and looks impressive but also coming to all consoles (yes Switch, Balla) and will have VR options. Starfield, Finally teased and seems it's the big 2019 game The Elder Scrolls VI, coming after Starfield in what will likely be 2020 it seems and maybe even for PS5, Xbox Two
Then like MS updates for TSO, Prey, VR stuff etc
It was far better then EA but not close to MS and not a lot got me excited as something about the games are off, that unless cheap like Evil Within 2 was can't see me really picking up a part from maybe Rage 2 then it depends what else it out.
Devolver Digital had their fun press conference again with a few announcements this year also we saw a Dreamcast.
My Friend Pedro, which is for PC and Switch SCUM, which is coming to STEAM in Early Access Metal Wolf Chaos XD, A remaster of From Softwares Cult OG Xbox game that never made it outside Japan even though the game was in English, General Arcade is bringing upgraded visuals, a new save system, and reworked controls to the game which come to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Even though MWC is a From Software game it's not one of the three they're doing, we know one is Armoured Core (still yet to see it) and Sekiro: SDT, will we see the 3rd at Sony? |
