I think the RPG mode is going to drive (yes) a wedge (two-hit combo) between 'mainstream golf players' and 'gamers'. I too am over-the-moon to see the return of the RPG mode, which is looking very similar to Advance Tour's. Glad Nintendo/Camelot delayed it for a year, really, I get the feeling that if the game launched last June as originally planned we'd have had another Mario Tennis Open...

That being said I really hope the extra time has also gone into polishing the online modes, which should be solid enough that we keep playing this for months.

Much excitement for this, can't get enough of Mario Golf. Is the 2nd of May release date I've seen about on the internetz for real?

Yup, will give it ago. Going to be a busy 2nd May for me - I might actually hold back on this, in order to get the most out of K3D.
