Random Gaming Thoughts Thread *NO NEWS ITEMS*

I just remembered, during a skype chat while playing last of us MP with Dusty & Andyman last week Mario kart came up more specifically the track Moo Moo Meadows, I now want an anti gravity version of this course in MK8

Flying cows... I like it.

Thinking about that 1DS, and then about a 3/DS player for Wii U. It would be great, you plug it into a USB port pop in a disc then select disc which loads up DS or 3DS game with TV being top screen and gamepad being bottom screen. And with the 2DS coming out the 3D part of 3DS isn't a issue but many people forget that the Wii U supports 3D (AC 3 uses it), so when you put disc in to Wii U you get option to play in 2D or 3D mode. Finally a use for my 3D TVs 3D.

Makes me think of the pitch from Mario Strikers charged with the cows in the window. I loved it when whole teams got swept off the ledge.

Even your own?  A new Strikers Charged for Wii U would be awesome!

Hoping they get Camelot to do it. The Strikers games just seemed a little too washed-out and brown for my taste.

I've realised that I really don't like "small" collectables, or not in 2D platformers. The Lums in the Rayman games, the stars and Red Coins in the Yoshi's Islands... Much rather have only a few big ones, like the special coins in Mario's platformers or Yoshi's flowers, rather than 20 or 30 (or 300) of them.

Thankfully its teensies that are the main collectables in Rayman legends & its 10 (3 in some) per level, though the Lums are still there too but they don't seem as difficult to collect.

Aye, think of Lums as Sonic's rings or Mario's coins. Except that there is a point to collecting as many as possible.

I like them me, gives a bit of extra gameplay for perfectionists.

No new Mario Strikers, please, unless the difficulty curve is more realistic (or you're allowed to level up in some way). Charged remains the Wii game that caused me the most aggro.

Looks like I might stick to the Teensies then, when (rather than if) I buy RLegends.

I haven't played anywhere near 25 3DS games, but SM3DL up over LM2 and MK7? PMSS up over... most things? And KIU down at 15!? That's nothing like my top games either. At least Abyss didn't place.

Thought you would of played more then 25 being solely a Nintendo gamer, I've played more then 25 games and I play pretty much every console.

I don't buy a lot of games nowadays. I'm quite picky about the sort of games I like.

3DS has been out for what 28 month's nowish, So can see a lot of different games having been played on it from most people.

Yeah we know you are you didn't buy Pikmin 3.

I'm not sure I feel comfortable with IGN including Ocarina on their top list, isn't that just a enhanced port with a few control alterations and some new skins on the models?

Kinda agree with you why's a port so high. I don't know about IGN but I would have it that high after I sold my launch 3DS due to lack of games OoT3D was enough for me to buy a 3DS again and my mate to buy his 1st. I don't know if i would of bought a 3DS again for mario kart or land or whatever, I did sell my 2ND 3DS after playing Kid Icarus as at the time there wasn't much out there I wanted or looking forward to, i only bought my current XL on a whim and had no games really for it for a long time.

That wouldn't be my 3DS Top 25 either but I haven't played 11 of the games (though I'll be getting Steamworld Dig when my stupid Internet connection starts working again). It would be either Kid Icarus: Uprising, Super Mario 3D Land or Animal Crossing at the top spot, though.

Luigi's mansion 2 would be my top pick.

The Jas has it on this one.

Personally I'm glad that Fire Emblem was so high up. It's probably my favourite with Lugi's Mansion being second.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf, then Mario Kart 7, then some other stuff miles behind. That's what any sensible 3DS best-of list should look like.
