| SSBM is going to be the best game ever. I put so many hours into SSB, and SSBM is just going to be more of everything. So excited! |

| I see the yanks are preparing for the xbox launch which is only 2 months away. I don't think they'll do much Sony and Nintendo are just to big, for new console to get any marker share. But some of there games look good especially this Halo. |

| Yeah, looking forward to seeing how Halo plays, it looks pretty good - and it's an FPS, which you don't see a lot of really! I am so sick of platformer after platformer, so it's refreshing to see an FPS.

| September 2001 is during the time I did not play games because I was being good for university. I wish y'all well and I will be watching with interest, because the idea risks being extremely awesome. |

| Pfeh. MS can barely make computers, let alone consoles. Bet it's riddled with technical problems and crashes. As for shootybang games, see my comment on Metroid Prime above. |

| Can't believe they're making the first 3d metroid an FPS. Mark my words, this will not go well. One game in, they'll go for a third person adventure that will be a million times better and follow on properly from super metroid. |

| Is no-one talking about this?!
So so so unimpressed. The cartoony Looney-Tunes pratfalls the enemies did, the art-style, ugh. What's Nintendo thinking? I thought after Majora's Mask they'd continue to go downer a darker path for Zelda... not this. |

| Too many games to talk about! And none of them out for a bit. I could go for a more light-hearted and colourful Zelda, but that trailer did look awfully... cartoony. We never got to lure Moblins off a cliff in that way, did we? Shame. |

| Was thinking that myself. Also, how different did Wind Waker look in beta?
A quote from Miyamoto about the change in art style: "One thing I'm afraid of is that people who already saw Link in the very beautiful graphics may be looking forward to the much more sophisticated looking version of him [Space World 2000 footage] in the next Zelda. I do not want to betray them or shatter their expectations, so what we are doing now is making Zelda as unique as possible because uniqueness is something gamers are always looking for. So I can say that we are ready to make that Zelda."
I want to have faith, but if they don't tone down the Tom & Jerry style antics, it may turn me away from the game. |

| That looks more like a Mario game. I will not be buying this. In 10 years, when people are still playing OoT, nobody will be talking about this. |

| To be fair, it's going to be hard to follow OoT. I can't see Nintendo making a Zelda game as good as that (or indeed a Mario game as good as 64) again for a long while.
I'm sure WW will still be good though! Can't tell too much from a half-minute cut-scene trailer. And that section with the little green dots looked lurvely. |

| So it's the two year anniversary of the North American release of the Dreamcast. Biggest flop of all time? Quite possibly. The fact that it's going for $99 in the US is mind-boggling. It's a real shame as I do like SEGA, but man, what a flop. |

| Surely the Virtual Boy was a bigger flop though, there's still games coming for the dreamcast coming though like propeller arena. |

| Yeah Virtual Boy, you're probably right. Dreamcast is still pretty much up there though - I think the fact there are still games coming for it is irrelevant at this point considering it's been discontinued. It's a damn shame as there are some great titles on the system. |

| Good-bye Sega! Wonder if we'll get Sonic and Mario on the same console? That's some mind-buggery right there.
Just waiting for the XBox to go down the same route now. It's surely only a matter of time... |

| All 10 million Dreamcast owners have to go some where now though, I doubt they will want to go to PlayStation 2 as many will blame it for the Dreamcasts woes. So the options are go to the old enemy with the GameCube or the new Xbox which has similar aspects to the Dreamcast. |

| I wouldn't rule the Xbox out quite yet. As Mas says that 10 million installed userbase will be looking for somewhere to go... |

| Because of the events of yesterday SEGA have delayed Propeller Arena on dreamcast, pretty much the final nail in the coffin.
Think about it SEGA haven't really ever had that much success with consoles master system only did well in places like russia and brazil, the mega drive game out 2 years before the SNES due to the master system not doing great and then that didn't take off in till sonic came out but started become great. Then there was the Mega CD & 32x add on's, then the doomed from day one sega saturn and now the dreamcast. I think the gamegear didn't actually do to bad it's just the gameboy did slightly better.
Propeller Arena never came out but was finished and review copys were sent out, and due to the dreamcast being the easiest thing ever to pirate. The game got copied and the rom was online, I have a copy of the game which is actually really good game. Still not sure why there's copy's of and half life in the wild but none of 4x4 evolution (I can't find it). |
