| On board for BotW2 if darker and more story driven. |

| Right, I get you. Even I might be on board. Right.
I can't complain about you rushing out a bunch of replies right now, though. These are exciting times! Its nearly 5am here, I need to go to sleep but I'm too excited |

| Nintendo are pretty cool, right?
I think I need to go back to the original - love that I can call BotW that now - and have a slower, more measured playthrough. I might not play it on Master Mode this time though... that was a bit too tricky! |

| I'm so worried about going back to it and it not being the best thing ever this time. So worried. |

| I mean, it won't be. Like Drunka said elsewhere, your first time playing this is properly magical as there was real wonder in exploring Hyrule and getting to grips with the world. That's why I'm aiming to take joy in finding the nooks and crannies and little areas I missed on my first time through. It won't replicate the greatness of that initial playthrough, but it'll do nicely and still be far better than most games I'll play, even in that second playthrough. |

| The magic was still there when I went back to it recently, I even discovered something I didn't know by accident, it probably helps I've still got around 15 shrines to do and most of the DLC but stil as good as I remember. |

| Whereas I walkthroughed the last few shrines. Got to get all 120! (To be fair I think I had maybe nine to go.) |

| I got all 120 shrines, and finished the Champion's Ballad, without ever looking anything up - Treesmurf wrote:

I'm still working through finishing off my initial playthrough - I have some sidequests, the sword trials and of course the koroks - and there is still a certain magic. It just isn't quite that same magic as in March 2017. |

| I can't remember how many shrines I did, but I do know it wasn't all 120, and I think apart from the Ballad, I was pretty much done. |

| I think I had 9 left when I looked up a map too.
Finding them all without any help sounds nightmarish for the last few! |

| Honestly, rolling around Hyrule on horseback, taking my time to find the shrines manually, was a really pleasant experience. I'd hate to have robbed myself of a reason to spend a little extra time in that world. |

| You say that, but my last 9 were so disparate in location that it would have taken me methodically scouring the entire map for like 20 more hours to find them all. It didn't help either that a couple were hidden so that the shrine detector wouldn't detect them, so if I had relied on that (I only turned it on when I had about 15 shrines left) it wouldn't have found them all either so I could easily have gone past assuming there was nothing around to find. |

| I see Drunka's point... I think that would have been enough to make the size of the world and its glorious detail an irritant for me, rather than a blessing. I'm not very patient. |

| I used a guide for the last few shrines as like Balla mentioned, I was a bit concerned that it'd lead to frustration combing the map for the last few shrines. I bet it was satisfying finding them all though without help! |

| That's my viewpoint on finding all the shrines too, I'm also uncovering a lot more Korok seeds that way as well purely by accident. |

| I did look at a map to find the last shrine, I admit. However, I did it by looking at a map showing all 120, and squinting at where there was a symbol missing. I know, still cheating |

| If that's cheating, I cheated too because I did compare maps with my girlfriend and we each helped eachother find the ones we didn't have yet. |

To be fair, I like that method. It's why I try to avoid looking things up for games in general and just asking one of you lot for advice. It's closer to the school playground chatter about games and their secrets. |

| Yeah it was really fun and it was probably what cemented BotW as my actual favourite game of all time. |

| Did everyone already know about that bit where Eventide Island is Outset Island? I can't find the source I heard this from now, so I sound like a bloody lunatic. |
