One of them - The Adventure of Link - is genuinely mince, down there with the likes of Altered Beast and Super Thunder Blade for being completely gash. One of the worst games I've played.
Zelda is the only thing that would make me buy a NX. |

| NGamer slammed that game for years! I remember Chris Scullion got arsey on his Twitter when I (jokingly) told him on the old NGamer website that he wasn't allowed to like it because he worked for NGamer and it was a magazine tradition to think that it was bollocks. |

| It's a masterpiece compared to the CD-i games though and I should know as I've played one of them. |

| And in a surprising turn of events, with 75 last-minute points, in first place, it's... The Adventure of Link!
(forum burns to ground, natural order of things dissolves, the mutated form of Chris Scullion roams the wreckage, roaring/crying in madness and pain) |

| Number 10: Hyrule WarriorsWii U, 3DS 20 points, 0 firstsYes indeed! The first game in GNamer's Top Ten Zelda Games is Hyrule Warriors, a spin-off crossover with Tecmo Koei's ubiquitous Warriors series. - You said:
"Fantastic spin-off based on the Zelda lore and I can't wait to see the expand stuff like Linkle upcoming in Legends"
"I've been playing this over the last few weeks, so recency bias may be a factor here, but I'm bloody loving this. Jam packed full of content and brimming with love for the Zelda franchise. It's been a joy seeing all these classic character pop up and hearing the remixed themes too. It plays a good game too – whilst it seems initially grindy, there is a decent level of strategy involved. Directing your NPC heroes to different keeps, rocketing around the battlefield cleaning up enemy captains... this is a blast."
"can't see if this is allowed but it's a top game, best Dynasty Warriors and a top Zelda at the same time, I've sunk many hours into both versions, with many more planned."
"A real surprise this one, announced and released within months, it's very much a Zelda game in it's own right even though it basically plays as a reskinned Warriors game. It's the Zelda influence which helps make this great though, fighting King Dodongo certainly feels more satisfying than some Samurai fella."
- I say:
A really fun, brightly coloured, bombastic romp that serves as a nice introduction to the Warriors concept for Zelda fans, and a clever adaptation of Zelda ideas for the benefit of Warriors aficionados. Never quite as good as the best in either series though; too watered down and simplified, and a fantasy land doesn't seem as hilarious when you apply all this nonsense as real history. I'm very glad to see it make this list, though!
- They said:
Lu Bu says:" Flukes do not happen twice! This is pretty good. It's dangerous: be careful out there! And Zelda. A fine woman... to have fought this far with me.

| Number 9: The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords AdventuresGamecube (With GBA link-up) 23 points, 0 firstsNext up, a masterclass in that GBA/ GC link-up that was such a prevalent, important trend in games. Now we just need a Wii U/ 3DS VC release... - You said:
"Multiplayer might not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think of Zelda, but if you persevere through the convoluted set-up you'll find one of the best co-op experiences to be played in Four Swords Adventures. The competitive battle mode is also fantastic, with the asymmetry of the TV and Game Boy Advance screens making a truly unique experience."
"How we laughed! How we cursed Tingle! How we cursed each other as we chucked each other down pits! Had a surprisingly good battle mode too, in which you could hide in a house and bother a Cucco until a swarm of them attacked everybody outside. Good fun."
"Multiplayer Zelda is something everyone should experience, they tried it recently with Triforce Heroes but they've yet to better the Four Swords set up which also worked well in Single Player."
"Just pipping Minish Cap to be highest 2D place on my list, this is multiplayer Zelda which I've only tried once in 2 Player but was a lot of fun and is in Single Player as well. "
- I say:
Surprisingly popular for a game I thought nobody had played! Apart from a quick go at my mate Colin's one time, I never got to play a lot of this. A shame: it looks absolute bangers, and I remember following it in the mags with great interest. Hopefully the opportunity will one day present itself.
- They said:
The Four Kings say:" Down here in the abyss, things get a bit dull. We live in an endless black void, so some colourful multiplayer fun is much appreciated. We're also utter bastards, so hiding our screens from one another is handy.

| Aces! I too didn't think this would feature but I am very glad that it has; a riot of a game with the right players. It's too much to wish for an online version where the GamePad can act as your GBA, isn't it? |

| I'll join in the astonishment. Don't get me wrong, I voted for this (at 8 I think), but I didn't think many others would. Glad it's got the appreciation it deserves, though: this is a top multiplayer experience, and not bad in single-player either. |

That's me, I played it first in Single Player and is one of only two 2D Zelda's I've finished. That it gets in my Top 10 sort by default due to the lack of 3D games and really good spin-offs, I enjoyed the short time with it as it can be done in one sitting. I have played in MP once and it was a right laugh and wouldn't mind seeing Four Swords NX in the future or some sort online multiplayer. Yeah I know there's Tri-Force which i really should give a go even with strangers but Four Swords plays more like a traditional Zelda that's multiplayer then a dungeon challenge. And someone else said it worked in Singel Player as well. @Andy you know the one your on about is a different game and I very much it's going to place now as you think the last 8 will be the 5 3D ones, ALBW, LttP and Minish Cap juts in what order is the question. |

I hope Drunka shows all the placings at the end to see where the likes of Links Awakening placed. |

| Number 8: The Legend of Zelda: The Minish CapGame Boy Advance 24 points, 0 firstsBetter eight than never, a slick portable Zelda. It isn't just the console that shrinks down! - You said:
"Capcom prove that it's not just Nintendo who can make a Zelda game. Minish Cap might be pint-sized, but it is overwhelmingly charming from start to finish. A pure joy to play."
"I emulated this back when I was a young'un and I really enjoyed what I played, unfortunately I've not had the urge to finish the ambassador version, must do some time!"
"My favorite 2D Single Player Zelda from Capcom just oozes charm "
"If ALBW was an enhancement of the tried and tested, MC was a dumping ground for new ideas. I know I've said this already, but by mixing these new ideas with classic Zelda characters and features (is that Beedle manning the shop? Anju with the chickens? And can I hover with my hat like a Deku Leaf?), it made for a truly great portable Zelda. The greatest, for my money, until recently..."
"Minish Cap's big idea is actually quite small, arf arf. The ability to shrink down to the size of the Minish reinvents the top-down adventure to an extent, although the real fun of the game for me is the Kinstones. A more exhaustive and exhausting side-quest has yet to be committed to 2D Zelda."
- I say:
I remember a wonderful Christmas, receiving this as well as getting my Game Boy back after having it confiscated (I got caught throwing away my paper round papers) and pouring in hours. I never completed it, as I was crap at games as a kid, but it is sat on my ambassador 3DS, so one day.
- They said:
Ant Man says:" Hi guys, Ant Man here! I did do something a bit crimey, but I'm not a bad guy. I have a daughter! I couldn't afford to get her a new machine, but I picked her up a GBA and Minish Cap and she loved it. Plus, it taught her sharing.

| Cracking game! Came all the way up at fifth in my vote. In my opinion, there's at least (probably only) one 2D Zelda to come that this is actually better than, bar the nostalgia value. One of the very best games on the GBA. |
