Kirby and chums land on Switch next year.

In my opinion, the most underwhelming game shown in detail. It'll still be fun, and hopefully I can rope the girlfriend into playing with me, but it didn't seem to have the punch of Robobot, or the originality of the Curse games, or... well, anything to make it stand out. Even the Flesh Wheel looks like it'll be on par with the Hypernova fruit, i.e. rather forgettable.
Still, I'm sure it'll pass a wet afternoon well enough.

I never got round to the 3DS Kirbys, and I'm not likely to now, so I'm well up for this.

Similar - between the N64 one and today, I've only played Epic Yarn, so there's a Kirby Gap. It might be a 7.5/10-er, but any game that lets you recruit Sir Kibble has to be worth something.

Zero Thought: this must have been in development for the Wii U. Old U-ey never had a 'traditional' Kirby game but after Rainbow Curse, they must have been thinking about one. Trad Kirby is still pretty niche but it's a niche that I like, so I'm in. It doesn't look as top as the recent 3DS pair, maybe, but they're always a pleasure to play through and that's all that matters to me.

I think I was a wee bit underwhelmed by this too, though I think that's because it visually lacked a lot of the usual Kirby impact on the Spotlight presentation. They're beautiful games, and the Switch has a beautiful screen, unlike my melted wellie of a YouTube stream. Buzzin for new Kirby.

Kirby games are always an easy, inoffensive time - keen for an outing on Switch with the puffball.

Kirby games nearly always come out at the end of a consoles life and that would have made sense for this on Wii U.

That's bang on, Jay - but is 'easy [and] inoffensive' worth the 50-odd quid they'll be asking for this?

I'll reserve judgement. Have they shown it off in the Treehouse yet?

For people who aren't good at games and like a simple platformer, yeah. Which is literally the reason Kirby was invented.

I'm the king of games mate, but sometimes you just want to kick back with a cool and refreshing Kirby game.

Wasn't Kirby on Wii U a budget title, can't see why this and the Switch can't have them as well.

King Dedede - and that's just his cup size.
I'm more up for this than the 3DS game: the ability to make your Copy Abilities interact could be a revelation if it's implemented well. Hoping for a bit of online multiplayer so we can get the forum's Kirby fans together to get it done.

A demo for this very game was spewed up onto the eShop today, and I’m fresh from completing the two levels it contains.
“Thoughts”:
It felt like a mixture of Kirby’s Adventure Wii and Kirby And The Amazing Mirror, leaning more on the former than the latter. Exactly the kind of bright and breezy platformer I expected it to be. Full of set pieces and super light puzzles. I can see it being a quiet riot when played with fellow humans.

SHITEazon! I think I've ordered it off ShopTo, but I've no idea if they've sent it to me. I just want to play a middling platformer that's aimed at seven year olds FFS!

Tagline change complete.
I didn’t pre-order the game, like I usually would, so I count myself fortunate to have a copy. The woman behind the counter said it had been quite popular, with all five of their pre-orders collected before I got there at 12:50. It’s a super-cute 2D platformer, which comes as something of a surprise. I hope you manage to secure a copy soon, Cappa.
