Bayonetta 2 (Sexy Librarians All Over Your Switch)

I loved w101 and its only made me more excited for bayonetta. That being said, all balla's complaints are right on the money and don't seem to be the case in this.

Yes, far too long.  I lost interest by the end, and starting another felt like a chore.  Good to hear that Bayonetta's were shorter.  As for the camera, I kept getting hit by stuff off-screen, and there was a horrible section in a river where I couldn't see where I was going.  Total nightmare.

The camera in Bayo is a more traditional third-person setup, controlled with the right stick.

 

So... Kamiya recently tweeted that he'd be willing to port Bayonetta 1 to Wii U and could do it in time before B2 was released, but fans had to ask Nintendo to greenlight it.

As a result, there's now a movement - OPERATION DEAD ANGELS. Basically, it involves posting "We want Bayonetta 1 please" or the equivalent in The Wonderful 101 Miiverse and/or tweeting Nintendo/SEGA.

I normally hate things like this, but I'd love to play Bayo 1 on Wii U so I've participated. After all, it worked for EarthBound.

Like Axis, I hate stuff like this. There's better ways of requesting a Bayonetta port than being an annoying dick on the internet.

I don't even think this campaigning is necessary on this occasion. I can't see the first Bayonetta not making it to Wii U before it's sequel.

I too thought that Bayo1 would be a dead cert,
But the fact Kamiya is tweeting that he wants to make it, and that fans should "ask Ninty" suggests that isn't the case - unless its a done deal, and Kamiya's orchestrating this to generate hype?!

He can get lost, the man is too full of himself and I'm not willing to feed his ego.

Because someone has to pay Platinum to make the port. It'd be unrealistic to expect Sega to do it unless they were to do it for PS4/XBO as well, which is probably not viable.

I will be very surprised if this isn't announced next Direct.

I'd love to see a port, Bayonetta ranks among my top games ever. It got so much right and next to nothing wrong. And if Platinum are handling it themselves it should turn out to be very special indeed.

Hopefully the Wii U's architecture has a *lot* in common with Xbox 360, though, otherwise we might end up with a port resembling the compromised PS3 version, which is noticeably worse (I played through it first on PS3, then rebought on 360 to play through again). The original Bayonetta was designed almost as if it were a 360 exclusive, visually playing to that system's strengths.

So my one Miiverse post on the subject got me about 80 YEAH!s.
I don't plan to do any more or YEAH! every post I see or anything crazy like that like some, but I've contributed. (I really hate it when social media becomes a spam-fest. I had to block the region-free campaign from twitter because while I somewhat agreed with it, I was sick of it constantly filling up my timeline.)

I know this is a important game for wii U but its not really in my interests anymore as I didn't get on with the first game. (Perhaps I need to give it another try sometime)

Here's that flashy looking new trailer. Can't say that the new character fills me with confidence regarding the script, but the action looks pretty.

The script in the first one wasn't very good. It didn't make the slightest bit of sense and it was incredibly hammy. That's one of the things I liked about Bayonetta though - it is unbelievably stupid.

See, this is why we need Bayonetta HD for the Wii U!

Looks like japan are getting this soon.

This has been rated by the Australian ratings board the game has a MA 15+ earlier this week, noting that it contains strong fantasy violence.

I was going to get it anyway, probably, but this is a really nice bonus that turns the "probably" into an "almost certainly".

The fact the first Bayonetta is bundled in has reignited my interest in trying this out again.

It was a definite already, this doesn't really change anything for me as I already own 2 other copies.

If you buy it off the eShop you don't get the first game, not sure if it's cheaper though. Also Bayo 2 will have a two-player Tag Climax mode, in which you can team up with another player online to defeat enemies.
