| Early doors yet, but it looks like the next Sonic The Hedgehog game has been announced. Coming out on Wii U and 3DS: the third SEGA exclusive?

Those character designs look gash.

| Anthro-Knuckles? And Tales' voice is annoying already. Still, I like the bit where Sonic's swinging through what appears to be Skytown from Metroid Prime 3. It could be good...
(Pssst. It won't be.) |

| Hmm, I'm hearing it's a full reboot and based around a new TV series. From the trailer it looks like either heroes mechanics or co-op, I'm still excited for it and glad to see it's still a Nintendo exclusive. |

| This is by Big Red Button, former Naughty Dog devs. Probably why the trailer looks so Jak and Daxter / Ratchet and Clank-y.
Oh and Sanzaru (3DS version) worked on Sly Cooper.

| Smells of a low budget Sonic tie-in to a cartoon of the same name, but given Sonic Team's recent misteps this might actually be a breath of fresh air. Maybe. Perhaps. Hm. |

| Everyone else looks the same as ever. Knuckles does look pretty different but it makes sense, seeing as he's been the bruiser character for a while but just been skinny like the others. |

| What is wrong with Knuckles? Like, I understand they're trying to highlight the fact he's the "STRONK CRUSH RAAAAH" character, but jesus, he looks grotesque. |

| Well, it's nice to see that, after several attempts, they've finally got a re-imagining of the Sonic universe that is a bit more grounded. It's nice too see the character design is... PFFFFFFFFFHA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! KNUCKLES LOOKS LIKE A F**KING DIPSH*T! |

| So this isn't getting a Jap release and Sonic Team will still be making core Sonic games.
Also this might also sell well, lost world sold 650,000 combined in 2 months worldwide. |

| Knuckles looks very odd indeed.
I'm keeping my eyes on this. The good thing about the Sonic series is its ability to reinvent itself, for better of worse. Let's just hope they've got the good sense to keep those gash Wisps out of this one. |

| All of the redesigns work for me, with the obvious exception of Knuckles. Urgh.
Like Stu, I'll have an eye on this. A Sonic game not by Sonic Team?! It might just work... |

| I felt Sonic Team had done a lot of good work with Lost World. Yes, it was flawed, but there was a solid foundation to develop it's ideas further into something that could have become a series highlight. As unlikely as it is, I won't mind at all if Sonic Boom plays like Sonic Lost World 2. |

Agreed, I just hope that the mistakes made will be rectified in future games. They're getting closer to a totally excellent 3D Sonic adventure. |

| I'm quite liking the look of this now. It's been in development for two years already, it's by a new team (comprised of staff with a decent record of doing solid platformers in the past), and it seems the game is the leading product of the Sonic Boom franchise, given the developers worked with Sega to design the universe and the new characters.
Here's a trailer with gameplay footage. People are saying it looks quite a bit like Rachet and Clank and Jak and Daxter, both platform series I haven't played yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0a7-1wdDuw |

| If it manages to be as much fun to play as Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, we're in for a treat. Anyone who's played that game will also tell you how good the script and the voice acting were. |
