Nintendo Digital Event (and E3 2014)

Axis has posted this in the Xbox One thread but seeing no one ever goes there, and this is E3 related news kinda, thought I'd let you know.

On the 9th of June the day of MS Game On conference a NEW Kinect-Less SKU Xbox One will launch at £349.99/$399.99, announced today to not take away from the event which they want to use to focus on games.

Also announced today Games for Gold for Xbox One which also launches on the 9th with Max: The Curse of Brotherhood & Halo: Spartan Assault, there will also be discounts on Forza & Ryse which makes me think Forza Horizon 2 & Ryse 2 are real and they will use this in someway to promote them like you can't wait for Ryse 2 you can play the first now and it's only going to cost you X amount.

So to sum up I think MS are far from irreverent as Cube put it as they are trying and if there E3 leaks are to believed it's not bad, and the Xbone isn't doing bad statistically it's doing better then the 360 did at this point at that had no competition for 12 month's but the PS4 sales are making the Xbone look like a bit of a failure.

Also Cube EA & Ubisoft are on the 9th and so is Sony but will be the 10th our time.

Not de facto E3, no.  Not even the third parties interest me.  I'll read people's reactions, perhaps, especially on here.  I trust Jay, Jas and others.  

Which reminds me, what happened to TCK?  Did the JRPG love get too much for him?

Also the awards were cool, have to do that again.

You actually you weren't to bad and quite complementary towards Sony but that might be how they owned Microsoft and you thought it was funny, which is was.

Looking at your fantasies Balla the bottom I want the most, if anyone shows that at E3 they win E3 period. And nothing else from the show matters one bit.

But on to the news I have about E3 Ninja Theory (the most underrated studio ever) are rumored to be showing a game for the PS4 at E3 which is listed on the OP, but there's now news Ninja Theory plan to show of a New-Gen game at GDC Europe. So it could be very likely it's teased at E3 and then shown proper at GDC in August.

IGN has this nice list, of what we are likely to see and if there confirmed or not but some like Transistor I can't see being there as it's out on the 20th of May,

So you might see my News Headline which is E3 news really but it's rather big just to be stuck here with more news on E3.

There's a paper going around the internet which is from the LA Center allegedly but I would take all this with a huge pinch of a salt but a lot looks very likely though.

That's the second "leak" I've seen, and it seems more realistic than the previous one (essentially a Nintendo fan's wish-list, about as grounded in reality as my fantasies on the first page). At first it looked horrendously under-gamed, especially considering new reveals (Zelda isn't a surprise any more), but if it's only the showfloor and doesn't include the stuff from the NDE then that's fair enough.

I still call rubbish though, mostly because I can't see X becoming a Xenogears game rather than a blade one.

Xenogears has to be bollocks and that Zelda name was clearly written by a 15-year-old. And Symphony 2? Come off it. I call bull.

I felt that way when I heard my beloved "The Legend of Semi-Realistic Zelda" was renamed "Twilight Princess". That said, I was only just past 15 at the time and probably would have though "Shard of Nightmare" sounded good. I can't imagine Nintendo would go for such a stupid name either, I also doubt they actually have to tell the LA Convention Center the titles of every booth this far in advance. If so, surely we'd have heard about the massive DK, Pikmin, and Zelda "setpieces" the took up loads of Center's floorspace before the event last year.. (and the huge real estate the massive ReggiePlex Art Structure/Bar will inevitably be taking up this year?)

If there's a Symphony of the Night 2, I will lose my shit. That would be a hell of a coup for Ninty.

Nintendo has announced two 90 minute Developer Discussions at E3. One for Smash, and one for an unknown 3DS game.

Looks like Nintendo's holding 2 Developer Discussions at E3, one for Smash Bros with Sakurai on Tuesday and another for an unannounced 3DS game on Wed! What could it be?

Both of Nintendo's E3 discussions are set to be an hour and a half. Smash is 7:00 8:30 p.m. PT and the new 3DS game is 6:00 – 7:30 p.m

Like I said take it all with a pinch of salt in till E3, but if you take away the Zelda & Xeno, Uncharted being named it's a rather plausible list of things apart from beyond good and evil 2, and if that happens Microsoft wins E3 unless Shenmue III turns up somewhere.

Looking at last years games at E3 there was nothing very Japanese eg Hatsune Miku but VITA did only have 5 games at E3 last year, so like I said that could be there just to make up VITA games numbers and is odd one just to put on a made up leak.

Maybe the 3DS game is SOTN2.

Also E3 judges week is happening at the moment, so maybe some leaks might come from that.

I've seen it spelt a few different ways like Shards of Nightmares, those S's make all the difference.

Nightmare Shard would sound better than Shard of Nightmare.

We will see in under 25 days for E3.

Let's not give Nintendo too much credit here. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon? And Spirit Tracks isn't exactly a great name: bung a synonym for "ghost" onto the main theme of the game and see what happens! I'm not saying I believe the rumour, but I can see it being a Nintendo-designed name, and it would automatically give us some collectables to work with.

Fable Legends seems like an odd name to me. Of course I intend to avoid playing any fable games ever again because I cant deal with disappointments of that magnitude.
