Sorry guys, I didn't even see any of those sports threads. It's like my brain just censors the words.

Well it was the goal that won them the title for the first time in 44 years with the last kick of the season, one goal that no football fan will ever forget, the match just shown how football can bring out so many emotions in the same way a great movie can. Obviously its not gonna make fans of any of you but surely you can understand why people love it so much.

And there are better videos on the internet of people pulling their tops off! |

I went to Barburrito for lunch. They had a new chili beef filling, which was awesome. And to make things even better, one of the staff accidentally put a "Fried Veg" sticker on it (presumably because he saw the mushrooms, which are an extra), so I got charged less for it.

After 34 years of NOT being at school, I was a bit rusty, but I have passed my Introduction to Philosophy course (online at MIT) and I still have 3 lectures to go. Philosophy is a brilliant subject, but much of it is in all honesty, a wankfest. I see many of the philosophies being self served by a narrow set of examples to prove a point. Then someone comes along and varies the story to come up with a new philosophical point. Still, the most important aspect of it all, is that it helps you think in ways that are very beneficial. Even my worst scores weren't all that terrible, being that they didn't fall below 60%. I have been pretty consistent since my last pair of 60% scores, and I do believe that my study methods have significantly improved. I quickly went all digital and everything was done on PDFs. I found that easier to use, with highlighting and Sticky Notes. From that, I was quickly able to cross reference parts that pertained to the questions. I really wish I had digital back when I was at University. The school computer there was a massive room with massive pieces of equipment. Even just the ability to download lectures and watch them repeatedly was a major plus, especially as they had CC, which I copied top a PDF and again, used its functions to improve my study methods. I am also doing a College Writing course with Berkeley at the moment. I have aced the early parts, all on grammar, with a 100% score. Technically, it means I have passed the course, as I only need an average 50% and that has ben exceeded. The hard part has just started though, as I need to write a thesis on a Community Issue. I am stuck for an idea and it needs to be done very soon, have at least 500 words and cite sources. I may miss that deadline. In January, I am starting a Computer Science course, which involves writing in computer speak. That I am really looking forward to, even if it may be out of my depth. It goes for 6 months and involves a lot of projects. I really want to succeed in this one, as I would dearly love to take my computer skills to a higher level. So that is what I am doing with my unemployment time - Nestle are still paying for this though and will be until August next year

1000th post! So, today I shaved off my November 'tache. I'll probably never do it again, it was very annoying having that thing on my face. But I thought it was appropriate in this, the year of Luigi.

It's right windy up in Scotland today. The Meadows in Edinburgh have been shut off because of trees falling over, and a dumpster was turned over outside of my flat. Fun times!

I couldn't go to Uni today as every sensibly-priced transport link available was either cancelled or very heavily delayed. It's mental round here in Ayrshire. There's debris all over my street.

My bus was actually a few seconds early today, and it was leaving when I got to the stop. Luckily the doors were still open so I was able to run and jump onto it. The driver seemed a bit surprised.

Yeah, it's the same over here in Edinburgh. I could have walked, but laziness overcame me when I found out they'd closed off my usual route to pedestrians whilst they were clearing fallen trees. |
