| - We got progress!:
After finally sinking The Pursuer (on my first go of the day thankfully!) I've been on a bit of a roll. I've lit 2 of the primal bonfires (I can't remember what the boss was before the first but it was the spider thing for the second) and I'm now down in the gutter.
Enjoying it much more in a post pursuer world, though the spider pricks were awful, weren't they? Constant harassment and a stretch that was far too long and dangerous. I beat the boss first time in the end but many tears would likely have been shed had I not.

| - My journey to the DSII plat (NG+ spoilers within) :
I started this session at the bonfire just after the Prowling Magus boss fight, I thought getting down to the boss (Dear Freja) would be tough because of all the mage type enemies etc but I prepared myself with a bow took a few of them out and luckily found/remembered the quick route to where NPC invader ambushes you before the bridge. NG+ surprise! There's 2 invaders this time, I had some very close calls during this fight but kept a cool head and dispatched them both on my first go then over the bridge I went easily taking out those spiders by one handing my Black Knight Halberd. The dear Freja fight took 3 or 4 attempts, I used the NPC Ashen Knight boyd summon to distract Freja so I could quickly take out the spiders (bloody hate adds in a boss fight) & it worked a treat even though he was almost dead by the end of the fight. I then got the shock of my life when I tried to light the primal bonfire and that giant mess sprung up, I even ran back towards the door as I didn't know if it was going to attack me or not. Onward to Drangleic Castle where I summoned a sun bro to help clear out the path to the doorway, we made it all the way to the ruin sentinel room & it was here where it struck me that I had no clue how to progress in the castle so we just fought them for a bit but I took a bad hit and died. It wasn't long before I found my way and on my second attempt I defeated the twin dragonriders with a pyro strategy, skipping forward a tad to looking glass knight who I had a good bit of trouble with the first time (if I remember correctly) but his moves just seemed like a breeze to dodge this time around and I got him first time. Now it's 5 spells to go until the plat

| Good progress Jas! You'll get a good chunk of those spells at NG++ anyway. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but: - Spoiler:
doesn't Freja pop up before you enter those spider tunnels? I think it's just after you enter the area, by a cliff?

| Thanks! I have it marked down on a note pad of what I need to do to get the remaining spells which is 2 from the Navlaan quest and the remaining 3 from NG++ as for your spoiler... - Spoiler:
She does indeed show up at cliff just before you enter the first spider den, I already knew about that appearance as I heard about it in a DSII play through ( ) I was watching & I also done that part a few days ago so forgot about it until now. I heard if you get damage in it carries over to the actual fight but I found it tough to get close with the 3 hollows nearby.

| - Stumped:
I beat The Rotten and went round the Tower of Flame killing those weak ass pieces of shit but that just took me back ot lost Bastille. I have literally no idea where to go now. Any tips? I've beaten Lost Sinner, Freja and obviously The Rotten so I'm thoroughly stumped at where to next...

| - Help for Andy:
Have you been to an area called Huntsman's Copse yet? If not, I suggest having a chat with the priestess milling about in the passageway between Majula and Heide's Tower of Flame (very close to the Majula end so travel from there). If so, keep progressing in that area, and you'll find your way.

| You should have already seen her and got her to move back to Majula from Heide's Tower, so if she's not there, have a wander around Heide's. |

| We need to remember that Andy is playing SoTFS and NPC's may have been moved, though that'd be extremely odd if they have moved her. |

| - For andy:
If you mean dragonrider then aye, she should be in the start of the tunnel (from Majula) that leads to Heide if not you didn't speak to her up top after dragonrider.

Fair point! I think she's still in the same place though. |

| My Journey to the DSII plat trophy:I pretty much glided through the areas & bosses on NG++ a souls game really is a different beast when you're on your third run, the most trouble I had was from the Ruin sentinels & the gargoyles every other boss I either done first or second time. My route was a tad different this time, for great soul bosses I went Rotten, Lost sinner, Old Iron King & then Freja.....anyhow I thought I was home free when I had collected all those souls but getting into Drangleic castle was quite tough with the fuck-tonne of annoying enemies it places at the front door, it must have took me a good 30 minutes before I done it but done it I did and I now have the shiny plat trophy. |

| Congrats Jas! Now to beat the game without dying or using a bonfire... Oh, I think you could have went straight to Drangleic Castle by the way - the door opens without needing the 4 Great Souls if you've got a high enough Soul Memory, which you probably would have had in NG++. |

| Oh really? I had no idea that was a thing but I don't regret running through half of the game again. - Quote :

I honestly wouldn't have needed the bonfires for Huntsman copse & Earthen Peak. |

| Oh, boy, I feel like such a scrub! I'm still struggling with the first game, having eventually mastered the sequel. - Spoiler:
After rining the first bell, I just got stuck; I opened the door in the forest, but then I get totalled by the wizards and transparent doods. So I've ventured into the catacombs. I take it the guys with the lanterns are connected in some way to the skeletons rejuvenating?

- Advice for Jimbob:
Correct! You'll have noticed that some of the skeleton stop reviving once you've killed the lantern guys - those are necromancers and I think certain groups of skeletons are tied to each necromancer. There's actually a way to kill the skeletons without needing to take out the necromancer, but you'll need to poke about the forest some more to find out how to do that.
Once you've finished poking about the catacombs and the forest, I suggest checking out the Undead Burg again - in particular, near the bridge where that dragon was skulking about. Hopefully you'll find something there.
