Yesterday I Bought

Earth Defense Force 2017 for a fun ride and a laugh. Also: this £1.79 DSiWare game that I'm absolutely loving but forgot the name of. I'll post something about it later, I think. Maybe a whole thread to 'revive' DSiWare -- it turns out there's still gems being made for it.

I ordered Paper Mario Sticker Star for £12.80 thanks to my GAME reward points and credit, bargain.

Also spent just over £50 on some TV thing with plenty of channels, etc.

Soul Blade is surprisingly good - picked it up myself from a charity shop the other week. But of course... MOTHERCLUCKING CHICKEN SHOOT

I didn't even see the £4 comment I was just saying it was a crackking horde. Of course it stands above SMW  

Ah, right. Well, indeed, it is a cracking horde. Fun fact: with the exception of Kid Icarus, none of them cost me more than £4.99.

It's Jay's fifth favourite shoot-em-up on the Wii!

I have also only played five Wii shooters.  

I finally bought Need For Speed Most Wanted on Wii U for £15.73 from GAME

I think I should take a trip up to Scotland just for the gaming bargains, the amount of money I'd save would more than make up for the money spent to get down there.

It's just good luck, is all. Those copies for Gunstar Heroes and Castlevania were bought for £1.99 each on the same day in Games Centre about a decade ago, Jet Set Radio came free with my £25 Dreamcast even before that.

That copy of Majora's Mask was the fluckiest purchase of the lot; I used to go into my local Cash Converters and ask if they had any old Nintendo games. One time, they said they didn't, then actually caught up with me after I had left the shop to say that they'd just got several minty-mint N64 games in. Right enough, I got that, OoT, Super Mario 64, DKR and Perfect Dark for 99p each. If you don't ask, you don't get.

In addition to Chicken Shoot, I bought Sonic & The Black Knight, Metroid Prime 3 and Donkey Kong Jet Race for a total of £13 in GAME's sale. Actionloop on the DS just arrived from Amazon as well, about £4 for that.

They have a comic for that? Sweet!

And it's not bad either

Project X Zone well it's been sent out by amazon.

Today rather than yesterday but I finally got an order in for Gurren Lagann Complete Collection and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn Episode 6.  I hear episode 6 of Unicorn was very much a talking episode, which is pretty much what I'm expecting given episode 7 is the grand finale and will no doubt be filled with lots of fighting and (hopefully) lots of deaths (hopefully Riddhe will be one of those deaths).

I needed some stuff to sit on top so..

My copy of Chicken Shoot cost me 50cents I think and I have given it a try. Sure, it is crap, but I have had less fun with much more successful games. It is simple arcade-y fun, with annoying sounds, but it actually plays quite well. It did get boring quick though.

Had four games delivered through the post yesterday: Mario & Luigi Dream Team Bros was the only one I paid for (£25), and Killer Instinct (SNES), Monster Truck Madness 64 and Power Diggerz (a PSone game I've been wanting for ten years!) were gained in a Retro Gamer Forum trade that, looking back on it, didn't really favour me.

I also got NBA 2K13 during the week, and within twenty minutes of putting it into my Wii U I already knew that I couldn't be bothered with it.
