| - Long story:
So Jo and I were over at my brother's yesterday, mostly so that Jo could see our new niece, Eva (born on November 5th, unforgettably). There's also Eleanor, her older sister. She's two (but will be three next month). She likes playing hide and seek, which is something my Dad normally does with her. I bravely took up the mantle.
There aren't many places for an adult human to hide downstairs in my brother's house, so I snuck into the kitchen and hid round the other side of the fridge. I heard a little voice coming from the lounge: "Where's Grandad?"

| Ahhhh, that sweet sweet feeling when the cool change arrives after 3 days of 35 degrees in a row. Love it. Was going to crash but now I think airing out the unit and reading some more pern is in order. |

| I'm applying for a section leader position within ASDA Bridgwater which is like a extra 12 miles on my journey, that you may be thinking why would I apply for the same role elsewhere.
They like you to do, two section leader roles to become a manager and going to a different store may also help that as well.
But the biggest difference is hours and pay as this is nights and from what I understand it may be about £10.50 per hour (between 10pm & 6am) and will only go up because of the living wage stuff (hearing it may be around £13-15 in 2017) and is every weekend off.
My rota would be 4 days in doing something like 8pm to 8am then 4 days off in a row.
I'm not 100% sure about it as having 4 day's off is cool and the extra by my maths nearly £4000 a year also sounds nice but those other 4 days are long and it's over night but there is no customers and after this manager job would be the next step.
I say all this and I might not even get the job as they may look to recruit within store but I am friends with the admin manager which might help. |

| Good luck to you, boss! Even applying for positions is a good thing to do, for many and varied reasons. |

| I never applied for it in the end, but there's a few other posts coming up in my store soon that I maybe able to move.
Reason I came here though as it was brought in the awards thread about Cappa's Crap Game thread which was a great idea, we said about maybe bringing it back but not to put all the pressure on Cappa.
Drunka pointed out about maybe doing it in a secret santa style setup, that I propose we do that for Easter in Easter Rotten Eggs (subject to name change). I can run if you guys want me to and we have a budget of around £3 (can do more if you guys want but I wouldn't say more then a fiver) which is the price of a decent Easter egg and we draw at random.
Cappa's thread was Wii games and not everyone has a Wii, that let's say Jay want's a rotten game for Easter he would put Jay - 3DS, DS, PS4, PS3 that maybe the best combo in gaming at the moment) and whoever gets Jay can buy him a rotten game on one of those chosen formats.
Yes you can get PS4 games for under £3 like FIFA 14 but it's not really bad and on Wii something like 7 games for £3 from CEX that it's very much doable for that budet.
Jay then would get his game then tell us how bad the game is.
If people think it's a good idea, I would do a thread March 1st then draw names at the end of the week then everyone can buy to send out for before Easter Sunday. |

| I like the sound of it, and I reckon Easter Rotten Eggs is an amusing name. The way I did Secret Santa, people PM'ed me their address to confirm they were in, so you could have people confirm their address and the formats on which they can currently run games?
Also, it would be quite fun to run it fairly early and have everyone post their review on Easter Sunday. |

| That way sounds better that they put there formats in with address, also the idea of the review going up Easter Sunday sounds excellent idea that maybe the thread goes live late February. |

I used to sing "You can't fool the children of the river, Lucian" |

| Ah summer. Remember this thing? - Blurry so dont be afraid!:
Just had the Millennium Falcon variant fly across the wall at lightspeed! Believe me, these buggers can run! I'm actually surprised I ever got any of them at that speed! Honestly I'm almost attached! Won't stop me snuffing it out the moment it reappears though! And believe me it will, they always do, and it's always at the most irritating time like when I'm drifting off to sleep. |

| @Drunka it seems only me and you are up for this bad game idea. I may still do the thread starting valentines day (as were so lonely) and if it's just me and you then that's it as it could still be fun to do. |

| Maybe if you make an actual thread with all the information in one place we'd get a better idea who is interested? |

| Here's a weird one. I started following some lad on twitter because he was chatting some shit in reply to someone else and I thought he'd be funny and I'd be able to take the mick or correct him. Sure enough, half his tweets are full of nonsense about Micro$oft and Xboners and hyperbole, but he also tweets a lot about how much he likes dogs and how rewarding it is to adopt rescues. I wanted to hate him, but I just can't! |
