| Had myself a proper job interview, the first since I quit my job. Got myself all dressed up and everything The job is the third most senior role in a $1mio a week supermarket, so I AM (sorry Balla) not overly confidant of getting it, but at least I got an interview. I thought it went well enough and I wasn't the slightest bit nervous - perhaps because I am not afraid of continuing unemployment, after all, I did get a hefty payout to quit my last job. I will know next Friday. Look at all that hair on my 53 year old head

I'm afraid that, given your reputation, you're one of the only people I'll still do this to. Double-error! |

No, not in the wrong thread, the photo is just a connection to the chat about going for a job interview - I assume you are referring to the Say Cheese thread? Yes, I didn't proof that, it is missing 'am'. Sorry |

| Well jealous of oldschool's hair. I'm 24 and have been losing my hair since my teens! Nowt I can do about it, mind.
Speaking of interviews, I conducted my first proper, assessed careers advice interview yesterday. Really enjoyed it, feedback was positive and I was lucky to be working with a client who was into computers and specifically computer games. Let the good times roll! |

After everything you've gone through, I wish you nothing but the best of luck. In fact, I'll send some people to help you along: - Spoiler:

Nice work and thanks beemoh. I am pretty sure I have had hair that big at some point in my life. It may not have been that high, but I did have long, metal hair, way past my shoulders, only 10 years ago - everyone hated it |

| My mouse at work is one of these bad boys.
It's got this brilliant feature- the scroll wheel works like every other one, until you press this button just underneath it, which takes the step movement off it and leaves it to spin on its axis, but still scrolls- so if I need to get to the bottom of a page quickly, I can just flick the wheel and it'll whizz round and bring me to my destination quickly.
I know I can press 'End' and get the same effect, but that's not nearly as much fun. |

| My local MP - whom I have met, when he was canvassing (he assumed I was unemployed; I'd just gone home for something (probably fetching some marking, knowing me) (hey, that makes it a fetch quest! Yay real-life role-playing!)) - is now Shadow Secretary for Education. DIGRESSION ALERT: (as if most of what I've already typed hasn't been digressing anyway) I do like the idea of the Shadow Cabinet. In my mind, they meet in mysterious locales, are probably a cabal (great word, not used nearly enough for my liking) and swish their dark, dark cloaks at every available opportunity. |

| I found my old Yahoo Answers account from seven years ago. Cringeworthy, to say the least.
To the question "What would you wish for?", 13 year old me replied "To see someone walk into a lamp-post. You don't see enough of that nowadays." What a little shit I was.
Also, there was a ridiculous rant about the Wii not being for children I made which included such points as "Metroid: Not a Kids series. There is alien guts spilling on your visor, and it is the hardest game I've played on Wii", "Project HAMMER, looks amazing. You are a guy with a massive hammer, and you swing the Wiimote to crush people" and my personal favourite sick burn, "It's time developers started thinking outside of the (X)box".
I want to hear some stories about past Internet shame so I don't feel so bad about my rampant 13 year old Ninty fanboying. |

| Well, have a peak at my ridiculous youtube videos over on the vote thread... I don't think I got properly into the internet until I was fifteen or so, but it's embarrassing enough.
Anyway, I'm sure everything I do now will sicken me in ten years. I've mentioned my trip to butlins, right? |

Mine aren't too bad. Everyone thought I was close to my age now back when I was 14, if I recall correctly. I should have shown them my Yahoo Answers page. - Buskalilly wrote:
